Invited by our institute, Israel BarIlan University Prof. Yosef Steinberger visited our institute
from 28th August to 26th December 2006.

    During the visiting period, Prof. Steinberger gave soil ecology course to the graduate students in
our institute. He discussed the hotspot in soil ecology research with the students and presented
some topic on "How to prepare publication", "Research trends in soil biodiversity" and
so on. Our students benefited a lot from the research method, research thought and research
fruit involved in his presentation.

    Yosef steinberger was engaged in soil ecology research work and has published more than 100
scientific papers and book chapters in ecology, with emphasis on desert ecosystems. Through
the four-month cooperation, Prof. Steinberger and the staff of soil ecology group went deep
into discussing the cooperative research program they both interested, and came to an
agreement about the cooperation research in the future.
