This Station (41¡ã51¡äN, 124¡ã54' E) lies in Qingyuan County of Liaoning Province, and was established in 2003. It studies the function, protection and restoration of secondary forest ecosystems, aimed to promote the sustainable development of forestry. The four areas concerned are (1) typical ecological processes of secondary forest ecosystem, (2) fundamentals and technologies for conserving and restoring secondary forests, (3) theories and technologies for sustainable management of boreal plantation forest, and (4) model establishment for the development and utilization of secondary forest resources.
