This Station(119¡ã39' N, 43¡ã02' E)situates in the south of Horqin Sandyland, Inner Mongolia, and was founded in 1975. It was among the key stations of China State Forestry Bureau. The Station mainly endeavors to the ecological restoration of sandy land and the engineering works to combat desertification in semiarid region. In addition, it specializes in monitoring desertification trend, rehabilitating degraded grassland, and properly utilizing natural resources in the eolian-sand-impacted region, based on the accumulated basic knowledge about restoration ecology and ecological engineering works.
