This Station (4204'- 42¡ã36¡äN, 126¡ã55¡ä- 129¡ã8' E) was established in 1979 and joined the MAB program in 1980. It was approved as an "Opened Research Station" by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1989, and was selected as the experimentation of national key research stations in 1999. The station is a key station in Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN).
Focusing on the global focal issues in environment and resources, the Station explores the response of forest ecosystems to human activities and environmental change and their consequent feedbacks, aimed to reveal the structure, function and dynamics of forest ecosystems, and to find effective ways of sound management and sustainable development of the forest resources. As a key station of CERN in CAS, it is responsible for long-term monitoring of the regional ecosystem.
