The paper£¢Forest landscape models: Definitions, characterization, and classification£¢by Prof. He Hongshi in our institute, ranked 16th in the Top 25 Hottest Articles in ¡°Forest Ecology and Management (Vol 254(3), 2008, pp484-498). Prof. He provided definitions of key terminologies commonly used in forest landscape modeling to classify forest landscape models. He also presented a set of qualitative criteria for model classification. This work has attracted great attention from colleagues in forest landscape models research area worldwide.
